#PowerShell Desired State Configuration with Jeffrey Snover

There are times in your life when you know – the very moment as it happens – that you have had one of the greatest moments in your life. That happened to me for the last 48 hrs – shooting a very challenging and important video series (Live) with one of the most important innovators in the world, and my hero. The honor to even be in the same room made this amazing. I hope that the ‪#‎PowerShell‬ and ‪#‎DevOps‬ community finds value in our work.

If you’re one of us, in three weeks the video will be available , go out to http://www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com and search for ‘PowerShell’. You’ll find the latest information on DSC – Desired State Configuration – with the inventor of PowerShell and Microsoft Distinguished Engineer Jeffrey Snover. I will followup with the final URL links when they are published. Cheers!

  1. You guys did great! I learned a lot about DSC. I expected as much since the Powershell videos you guys did was awesome too. The combination of both of your knowledge, experience, and personalities allows you to tell stories about complex subjects in such a simple and entertaining manner that an old dog like me gets to pick up new tricks. Thank you and Jeffrey for sharing your gifts.

    1. I’m glad you found it helpful — we worked really hard to make it both enjoyable and informative. There is nothing like having Jeffrey give the expert view on topics like this. Cheers!

    1. The URL is correct — but you have type ‘PowerShell’ into the search bar. I think they may have removed the live link – which will be replaced in a couple of weeks with the recorded link…. I think thats the problem. I will post a new blog with the links to the recordings as soon as they are available. Thank you so much for checking!!!

  2. Hi Jason.
I registered but couldn’t attend the PowerShell Desired State Configuration course in MVA.
Still checking in MVA. I know it was a Great Moment with Jeffrey Snover.
    Keep it up. Iba

    1. Thank you! It was amazing working with Jeffrey, and it’s a very important topic. The recording will be available soon, and I will blog it. Thank you so much for the support!

  3. Jason,

I’m a newbie to the world of IT and although I had heard of PowerShell a lot in the past I’d get intimated with words like ‘scripting’, ‘automation’ etc because of my lack of programming knowledge. All that, however, changed in no time ever since I began watching your (and my hero Jeffrey Snover {Yes He’s my hero too !}) PowerShell Jump Start video series on MVA. I can’t thank you and Jeffrey enough ! You guys made learning PowerShell such a fun-filled activity.
I hope you continue more such endeavors that benefit so many people. Thanks, yet again.
